    秋玉米

    玉米性平味甘,入肝、肾、膀胱经,有利尿消肿、平肝利胆、健脾渗湿、调中开胃、益肺宁心、清湿热等功能,立秋时令食用不但能祛秋燥,还有助于延缓衰老。

    玉 米含有丰富的不饱和脂肪酸、维生素、微量元素和氨基酸等营养成分。玉米中的不饱和脂肪酸,尤其是亚油酸的含量高达60%以上,它和玉米胚芽中的维生素E协 同作用,可降低血液胆固醇浓度,并防止其沉积于血管壁,因此,玉米对冠心病、动脉粥样硬化、高脂血症及高血压等都有一定的预防和治疗作用。玉米含有类黄 酮,对视网膜黄斑有一定作用,所以多吃玉米有明目作用。

    玉米中含的硒和镁有防癌、抗癌作用:当硒与维生素E联合作用时,能防止十多种癌 瘤,尤其是最常见的乳腺癌和直肠癌。另外,硒还可以调节甲状腺的工作,防止白内障的发生;镁一方面能抑制癌细胞的发展,另一方面能加强肠壁蠕动,促使体内 废物排出体外,这对防癌也有重要意义。它含有一种长寿因子——谷胱甘肽,它在硒的参与下,生成谷胱甘肽氧化酶,具有恢复青春、延缓衰老的功能。

    玉 米胚芽中的维生素E还可促进人体细胞分裂,防止皮肤出现皱纹;玉米须有利尿作用,也有利于减肥。膨化后的玉米花体积很大,食后可消除肥胖人的饥饿感,但含 热量却很低,是减肥食品之一。玉米中富含的维生素E可通过生殖腺增加荷尔蒙的分泌,改善性能力,预防小产。玉米中含有的谷氨酸还有一定的健脑功能。
